The Wanted are described as the hottest boy band of 2010 and as I write this they haven't yet released a single. Already the 5 piece from across the UK have played at the O2 Arena and Wembley to a crowd of 70'000.

Unlike your sombre, ballad-laden boy band, typical of years gone The Wanted are fun, and their first single due to be released this week is quite simply very -very good.
The lads know the score and are not conforming under the normal rules of engagement. Boyband land has changed.
The single All Time Low has the sound of a contemporary band and whether you like boy bands or not, I guarantee that your fingers, your feet and and your head will all be bobbing up and down to All Time Low, in fact you will resemble that Churchill dog! Oh yes...
I had a chat with Tom from The Wanted prior to the mayhem that is about to follow.
SM: Hi Tom what cloud are you on at the moment?
TOM: Its about 102 at the moment.
SM: Up to date you've worked with some amazing writers and producers, who has beenthe most memorable so far?
TOM: Guy Chambers was an absolute gentleman to work with and he was the first person that we actually worked, to work with someone who has such an amazing reputation was really worrying at first but then after spending a few days together you realise that he's just an average guy
.
SM: Debbie Purcell wants to know as you work closely with The Saturdays, who's the hottest Saturday?
TOM: you know what its between Vanessa and Frankie, we've been working with them quite alot and they are all great and all of them have got brilliant personalities.
SM: The Wanted have been described as a Boy band but Cool, that's good isn't it?
TOM: yeah it is and we are a boyband for sure and there's no getting away from the fact, we are five boys n a band, we are quite individual in our own thing, usually a boy band is put together it's quite manufactured and they have to be a certain way and act a certain way but with this project they leave us to do what we want to do, we are pretty much of the leash.
SM: Who is the genius of the band and who the geek?.
TOM: Errm definitely Jay, some of the lines he comes out with are just absolutely hilarious.
SM: And who's the geek?
TOM: Also Jay, he works in mysterious ways.
SM: What is the best gig to-date?
TOM: Aww man we played Wembley stadium not long ago and played in front of 70'000 which was totally insane, it was incredible especially for a new act that hasn't done anything and we also played at the O2 arena and we are like what the hell are we even doing here its crazy, they've been amazing gigs.
SM: What where you doing before you joined The Wanted
TOM: Err, I was studying A levels for a couple of years then went to University for a year studying Geography at Manchester and then decided it wasn't for me so I left and joined The Wanted.
SM: When you where at Uni where was you working?
TOM: I wasn't at the time, I didn't actually have a job, I just lived off my student loan, I pretty much fended for myself, I couldn't really be bothered to be fair.
SM: What was your first job?
TOM: I worked in McDonalds I started right at the bottom, nothing wrong with Mcdonlads. It taught me a lot about working there actually, it teaches you a lot of different skills your working with all sorts of different people.
SM: Your from Bolton, are you a Bolton fan?
TOM: Oh yeah I support Bolton.
SM: Where will you be on Sunday when you find where you are going to chart?
TOM: You know what, we've got a day off.
It's going to be a real messy night if we get number 1, where ever we chart wer'e going to celebrate especially after we've put so much work into everything.
SM: Where you into music and who where you into when you where younger?
TOM: I always wanted to a solo acoustic act, but when I got into this I realised that I actually love being in a band. I've always got other people around me.
I have always liked oasis, the Beatles and the Stereophonics.
SM: What's the strangest question that has been put to you to date?
TOM: People ask do we class ourselves as a boyband, obviously we are a boyband.
SM: The girls in the office have put a few questions forward.
Chrissie who is 21 or who says whatever age you want me to be, wants to know is Max
willing to be stalked and what does he think about being restrained.
TOM: (laughing) he loves being stalked absolutely loves it and likes getting stalked by pretty much anyone.
SM: Donna wants to know are you into married older women?
TOM: I'm into married older women, single older women, I'm into pretty much any woman.
SM: Donna also wants to know can she have your mobile number?
TOM: (laughing).. if she wants it no problem...
SM: How long have you been together now?
TOM: The Wanted have been together since September last year.
SM: Where do you see yourselves in two years time?
TOM: Do you what I hope that we have done Europe, and hopefully we would have been over to the states, we just want to do the UK first and make sure that we cover here as much as possible.
SM: When are you starting your tour?
TOM: Hopefully there's one planned for summer next year but that just depends on whether we are liked enough.
SM: Have you been back to Bolton lately?
TOM: I haven't been back to Bloton for three months, we have been so busy, we get the odd day off here and there but its been hectic. I think once we have released this single I'll be able to get a little time off to go home and see my friends and family.
SM: Being a guitarist do you also write a bit?
TOM: We all managed to write 50% of our first album, the record company where a bit reluctant at first, usually it takes a 3 or 4 days to write a song and we went in and spent one day and came out with a track and they where like oh! They can write, its called Behind Bars and will be on the album.
SM: Thanks for your time and Good luck with the single Tom, is there anything you would like to say to everyone out there?
TOM: Yeah from me and the boys, we'd like to say a massive thanks to everyone who has gone out and bought the single and supported us. See you on tour.
