Harbour Trails
To Welcome "The World"
To Whitehaven, Sunday 15th August
Celebrating the arrival of the World Cruise Ship at Whitehaven, town attractions are offering special Harbour Trails.
Whether you are a visitor from the cruise ship or are local to the area, these trails offer you the perfect opportunity to learn more about the rich history of this beautiful Georgian Harbour.
Tickets for these guided walks cost just £5 per person with all day admission to The Beacon museum included in the price.
Advance booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

Starting from The Beacon reception at 2pm on Sunday 15th August, your costumed guides will take you on a leisurely stroll around the harbour telling tales of times past along the route.
Harbour trail guide, Alan Gillon from The Beacon said that "It's not every day a ship of this size comes to Whitehaven. Whether a cruise visitor, local resident, or just dropping into town for the day, we'll have a great time finding out about the harbour's historic past".
Optional extras are available to extend your walk around Haig Colliery Mining Museum or to the Rum Story, where a special tour has been arranged at group admission rate of £3.95 per person.
Tickets are available now from The Beacon on the harbourside and Whitehaven Tourist Information Centre in the Market Place.
