Two day workshop at the Wave Centre...
The Wave Centre is offering budding West Cumbrian talent the opportunity to work for two days with professional film and TV actors, Emma Rydal and David MacCreedy.
ON 18th & 19th August David and Emma will take talented teenagers through a two day drama workshop.
Emma Rydal is best known for her work on TV programmes such as Coronation Street, Playing The Field and Swiss Toni. Her film work includes the hit British movie, East is East.
David MacCreedy has appeared in numerous films and TV dramas including The Street, Preston Front and Up and Under.
Both actors began their careers in youth theatres in West Cumbria and it is hoped this workshop will form the first steps to creating a new professionally led youth theatre based at The Wave Centre.
Karen Thompson, Manager of the Wave Centre said, "It is fantastic Emma & David are both making themselves available for this. The opportunity for local youngsters to work with both these very experienced actors is a really exciting one and will hopefully lay the foundations for us to create a regular youth theatre here at the centre."
The two day course costs £30 and is suitable for 11 - 18 year olds. For more information please contact the centre on 01900 811450.
